3 Simple Facial Massage Movements for Brightening & Plumping Your Skin Naturally

Be honest, how much time do you spend massaging in your facial oil?

Do you even have a facial oil? If not then you need to meet our Superfood Serum ASAP! Brimming in nutrients and antioxidants, this elixir will soon become a holy grail product in your beauty ritual, we are sure of it!

Once it’s in your hands, you’re going to want to make sure you’re applying it correctly, to really get the most out of your product, and to ensure your skin stays beautifully youthful and radiant.

Just a few minutes a day is all you need for gorgeous results that are well worth it!

Keep reading for some simple massage techniques for bright, plump skin that ages gracefully.

But first... prep your skin

First things first, you never want to apply your oil to skin that has not been cleansed or may be in need of exfoliation, otherwise, your oil will not sink into your pores, but instead cling to dry skin on the surface.

We love an oil cleanse, and you can simply add in some raw sugar, if needed, to turn it into a luxurious exfoliation. Gently wipe off with warm water (this is where our organic bamboo face pads come in handy!) and then pat dry.

Damp skin is best for optimal oil absorption, so a spritz of our high vibe mist is ideal right before you apply your oil.

How to apply your oil

We recommend dropping a few drops into the palm of your hand and then pick it up with your fingertips, using your fingertips to first press the oil into your skin before beginning your massage.

This ensures it sinks deep into those pores.

Your follow-up massage will simply boost absorption while releasing tension in your facial muscles, not to mention boost blood flow for an instant rosy glow!

Start with your neck

You never want to forget about your neck! The thin skin on your neck is prone to sagging as you age, so be sure it’s always part of your ritual, oil and all!

Start at the base of your neck, and glide your fingertips upwards, starting in the middle of your neck then on each side, always lifting the skin gently up towards your face. Repeat at least 3 times.

For an all-over glow

Use your index and middle fingers to gently massage your face in circular motions. You’ll start at the inside of your face and gently work your way outwards.

You always want to be sure to work in upward motions, as downward motions can contribute to sagging skin.

Let’s smooth that forehead

The skin on the forehead is thin, and it’s the part of the face that shows off our every expression. Your forehead works overtime, and tense muscles over time can quickly contribute to an aged appearance.

Regular massage can help to smooth your forehead muscles, relieving tension, and helping you to appear more relaxed.

Begin by consciously relaxing all your muscles in your face as best as you can.

Now place your index and middle fingers on your temples and pull the skin taut. While your skin is taut, try to frown and hold this expression for ten seconds before releasing and exhaling. Repeat 5-10 times.
